THE ROLE AND FUNCTIONS OF THE INTERNAL AFFAIRS BODIES IN PREVENTING AND SUPPRESSING ACTS OF HIJACKING AIRCRAFT

The relevance of the study is determined by the need to ensure aviation security in the context of increasing threats of illegal interference in civil aviation activities. The internal affairs bodies play a key role in preventing and suppressing acts of hijacking aircraft, carrying out operational search activities, anti-terrorist operations and law enforcement activities. The study is based on an analysis of regulatory legal acts regulating the activities of internal affairs bodies in the field of aviation security, as well as on the study of practical cases of preventing acts of illegal seizure of aircraft. The methods of comparative legal analysis, statistical data processing and expert assessments are used. Internal affairs bodies perform critical functions in the civil aviation security system, including prevention, rapid response and threat neutralization. The improvement of the regulatory framework, professional development of employees and the introduction of modern technologies contribute to improving the effectiveness of preventing and suppressing acts of illegal seizure of aircraft.
