The one of the most polluted regions of the world is Europe. In such case EU should develop and adopt regulatory mechanisms to eliminate the negative factors. The purpose of this article is to review the strategy of EU in research and innovation sphere and to compare the main aspects of this strategy with the most important ecological problems.
