The article describes the theoretical and methodological problems of hermeneutic pedagogy in the methodology of understanding the phenomena of human culture in higher education. On the basis of a philosophical analysis of the specificity of the hermeneutic approach, the use of which is due to the complex socio-cultural reasons.
