Artistic distinctive qualities of travel journal of Russian duchess Z.A. Volkonskaya

The article describes artistic distinctive features of travel diary of Russian Duchess Z.A. Volkonskaya. The genre of the text came directly from elegant traditions of V.A. Zhukovsky. Her style characterized by philosophical generalizations, by romantic world attitude, by religion motives and by allusion in connection with literature and art of her time. But in the same time in her travelogues the writer abandon idea of comparison “theirs-ours”. Also she develops well the theme of motherhood, motives and complications of it.
