Historical and cultural characteristics of Vietnam in the aspect of formation of its image in Russia

The article discusses the historical and cultural characteristics and socio-political conditions of development of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in connection with necessity of formation of its positive image in Russia. Analyzing the history of the development of Vietnam in the second half of the XX century, the author comes to the conclusion that with proper information policy and as a result of the "policy updates" the most effective tool of "soft power" influence in Vietnam can cultural tourism.
