The concept of femininity in the context of Russian and Chinese cultures

Definition of women's role and understanding of "femininity" in the development process of the society considered ambiguous, because explanations of "femininity" manifested the perceived lower social and cultural status of the female sex, considered as a secondary cultural phenomenon. In this article, author compares the concept of femininity in different cultures. According to the author, the overall similarities of the definitions of femininity can be traced to female characters in literary works.
