The article is devoted to the problems of higher education in post-industrial society. It is shown that higher education in Russia retains the features of the industrial era and is poorly adapted to modern reality. It is substantiated that the emergence and dissemination of knowledge in a postindustrial society is non-linear and self-organizing. To this process, the term of poststructural philosophy - "rhizome" is applicable. The theory of rhizomatic learning and the possibility of applying its ideas for improving higher education are considered. The results of the experiment are presented.
