This article analyzes typical investigative situations in cases related to the suicide of minors, aiming to identify patterns and issues in criminal investigations. The relevance of the study is due to a significant increase in cases of adolescent suicides, their particular psychological vulnerability, and the difficulties that arise during investigative actions. The introduction touches on general trends in the field of forensic science related to these cases and emphasizes the need for a comprehensive approach to analyzing investigative processes.
The methodological basis of the study includes both qualitative and quantitative analysis of criminal cases involving the suicides of minors, an examination of judicial practice, and the use of comparative analysis between different regions. Methods of information systematization, expert interviews with law enforcement representatives, and forensic experts were utilized, which allowed for identifying common principles of organization of investigative actions and their shortcomings in addressing specific situations. The obtained results indicate the presence of a number of common factors, such as contradictory witness testimonies, insufficient attention to the psychological and pedagogical characteristics of adolescents, and problems in coordination between investigative bodies and experts. The study identified the main difficulties arising during the investigation stages and proposed measures to overcome them, including improving methods of evidence collection and providing specialized training for investigators.
Additional analysis showed that a comprehensive approach to investigating these cases requires the improvement of procedures and active interagency coordination. Involving specialists in psychology and social work allows for a more accurate assessment of the motives of minors, contributing to the prevention of tragic outcomes. The introduction of modern information technologies improves the efficiency of collecting and analyzing evidence, which contributes to the enhancement of investigative practices. Thus, the presented results and recommendations contribute to improving criminal investigations in cases of minors' suicides, providing a scientific basis for practical changes in the law enforcement sphere.
