The article discusses the issues of organizing the interaction of institutions and bodies of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia with the bodies of preliminary investigation in the framework of procedural activities in the investigation and prevention of crimes related to places of deprivation of liberty. The relevance of the research topic is emphasized, due to the level of penitentiary crime. The problematic issue of regulatory regulation of the considered area of activity is disclosed through a detailed analysis of the regulatory framework, and a solution is proposed. The author also discusses such aspects of the organization and implementation of joint work as principles and planning of activities. It is proposed to establish a regulatory framework for the organization of interaction between institutions and bodies of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia with the bodies of preliminary investigation.
