THE IMPACT OF THE HEILONGJIANG FREE TRADE ZONE ON STRUCTURAL CHANGES IN THE ECONOMY OF THE RUSSIAN FAR EAST

This article examines the impact of the Heilongjiang Free Trade Zone (HFTZ) on structural changes in the economy of the Russian Far East. It explores key transformations in the region's industrial composition influenced by the growth of cross-border trade, shifts in investment flows, and technological cooperation. Particular attention is given to the modernization of industrial production, the development of logistics infrastructure, and the impact of Chinese investments on the Russian labor market. The study identifies key challenges, including dependence on raw material exports, sectoral imbalances, and regulatory barriers. The article concludes with recommendations to optimize regional cooperation for more balanced and sustainable growth.
