The purpose of this article is to segment the problems of labor migration in the BRICS countries (which are the oldest members of this organization: Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) and organizational–legal basis for their solution.
Methodology. The methodological basis of this study is an integrated approach, which includes the use of a set of various methods, such as analysis, generalization, classification, as well as a method of critical understanding of the practice of regulating migration processes in various countries included in BRICS, methods of strategic planning in the field of creating conditions for the effective functioning of the legal mechanism that ensures the activity of the common labor market of the BRICS countries.
Results. The article determines the possibility of solving the migration problems of the BRICS countries on the basis of the organizational and legal mechanism for the functioning of the common labor market of BRICS. The results obtained by the author can be used in the process of further development of problems in the field of international labor law, as well as for identifying promising areas for the development of legal mechanisms for the functioning of BRICS.
Conclusions. The proposals presented open the door to a comprehensive discussion of migration policy options in the BRICS countries and create the potential for future cooperation in the field of migration, including the formation of a system for regulating various types of legal labor migration (highly skilled, educational and low-skilled) within BRICS, as well as the development of common political actions regarding migration exchange, including with third countries, the practice of which has already become typical for many integration associations.
