Communicants’ style and verbal behaviour and mode of formulation in political interviews: correlation of terms

The article reviews the terminology necessary for the linguistic analysis of speech behavior of communicants in various pragmatically oriented text types. As an example, political interview is described as a special type of text functioning within the framework of political discourse and media discourse. At the same time, a major research interest lies within linguistic and textual elements which reflect the peculiarities of the mode of formulation of this text type, related to the implementation of persuasive function towards a potential addressee, which is dictated by the main aim of political communication.
