The article studies the inscriptions made by Soviet people during the elections. The inscriptions on the back of the ballots give us the opportunity to imagine the full picture of the atmosphere in the Soviet society during the years of the peak of Stalin's authority. The author concludes that during these years there was no solid unity of the party and the people.
