S. P. Shevyrev and F. I. Buslaev: communication and continuity

The mutual relations of professor of the Moscow university S.P. Shevyrev and his disciple and follower F.I. Buslaev are examined in the article. A teacher defined scientific interests of famous philologist in a great deal, in particular his aspiration to study Russian in indissoluble connection of diachrony and synchrony.
