Axiological aspect of speech portrait of god in old English poetic linguoculture

the paper focuses on a level of speech portrait in artistic image analysis. One of the ways to research a speech portrait is an insight into speech genres that constitute it. A speech segment of the image of God in Old English literature represents a rich array of speech genres that refer to different periods of the development of English culture. The most recurrent genres are order, request, prohibition, advice, reproach, prediction, self-praise. Their axiological function is specifying the image and transmitting communicative values of Old English culture.
