in the article, the author draws attention to the active activity of politicians and diplomats of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the first years after independence to conduct an anti-nuclear policy and reduce nuclear stockpiles. The role of the Republic of Kazakhstan in promoting the idea of complete renunciation of nuclear weapons and the establishment of a nuclear-weapon-free zone in Central Asia is considered. It shows the struggle of African countries against nuclear tests on their territory and the elimination of South Africa's nuclear Arsenal.
