ON EXPRESSING ASPECT IN THE ENGLISH PRESENT PERFECT TENSE

The article is devoted to the semantics of the Present Perfect tense in modern English. The classification of its various types and meanings has been given enough attention in linguistics, but the search for its semantic invariant is still a theoretical problem. The practical significance of the paper also lies in the possibility of using its results in teaching English as a foreign language.
