HUMORIC WALKS THROUGH THE CITY AS A GENRE OF THE CITY NEWSPAPER OF THE LATE XIX - BEGINNING XX CENTURY (BASED ON THE MATERIAL OF PERM PERIODICALS)

The research is devoted to the formation of a walk through the city as a genre of a city newspaper of the late XIX – early XX century. The emergence of this genre was associated with a social demand for adaptation to the complexity of urban space caused by the growth of cities. Contemplating the city in slow motion, a person got an aesthetic experience of harmonizing a complexly structured space (V. Benjamin). The walk made the city «human-sized» (S.V. Solovyova). The genre of walking in the mass media is becoming one of the ways to describe the city and form a local identity.
