VERBAL REPRESENTATION OF TACTILE COMMUNICATION IN RUSSIAN LANGUAGE (ON THE EXAMPLE OF VERBS OF LEXICAL-SEMANTIC GROUP “STROKING”)

This article is devoted to the semantics of tactile verbs belonging to the lexico-semantic group "Stroking". Having characterized non-verbal communication in general and considered the groups of tactile verbs, the author of the article analyzes the verbal nominations of the lexical-semantic series with the dominance "to stroke", which includes prefixal and return verbs, phraseological units and proverbs. On the example of publicistic and literary-fiction contexts taken from the “National Corpus of the Russian Language” the author proves that most of these verbs are secondary nominations and form the so-called tactile metaphor, which appeared as a fact of tactile experience of human interaction with other people and the surrounding world.
