LEARNING RUSSIAN IN THE CHECHEN REPUBLIC: THE CURRENT STATE OF THE PROBLEM

This article is devoted to the analysis of the state of the problem of studying the Russian language in the Chechen Republic. The functions of the Russian language in various areas of life of the Chechen people are considered, problems in this area are identified. As a result of the analysis of scientific literature on the problem of studying the Russian language in the Chechen Republic, the main scientific areas were identified: studying the role of the Russian language in the professional and personal development of specialists; development and implementation of methods for teaching various aspects of the Russian language; the language direction itself, associated with the study of the main trends in the modern Russian language. The purpose of the study is to characterize the general situation with the study of the Russian language in institutions of various educational levels in the Chechen Republic. A classification of the functions of the Russian language in the national region is proposed using the example of the Chechen Republic, the features of studying the Russian language are identified and characterized (the unifying role of the Russian language, the leading role in education, the enriching role in personal and cultural development, etc.). Exploring issues related to the Russian language as a state language and its importance in various national regions, the authors draw attention to the problems of bilingualism. The article presents some results of research related to the role of the Russian language in the Chechen Republic. It provides a description of Russian language teaching programs in educational institutions of various levels. Based on the analysis of the state of the Russian language teaching system in various educational institutions, the authors say that the problems with studying the Russian language in the Chechen Republic remain relevant and require a solution, it is necessary to update Russian language teaching programs in all educational institutions of the Chechen Republic, introduce new courses and improve teaching methods.
