This article examines the practical implementation of the US foreign policy strategy for the penetration of American capital into the territory of the Russian Far East in order to appropriate this region.
Special attention is paid to the issue of the interest of American business in obtaining the monopoly right to build a railway line passing through the territory of the Far East and Siberia. As well as the international balance of power and the peculiarities of diplomatic relations in the conditions of the Russian-Japanese war of 1904-1905.
