The purpose of this article is to study the causes of borrowing and their impact on educational terminology in the Russian language. The subject of the study is the influence of English borrowings on the modern Russian language in the field of education and media, with an emphasis on the semantic aspect. The research methods are the analysis of the main factors such as globalization, the introduction of innovative technologies and new approaches to learning, as well as the semantic study of changes and adaptation of borrowed terms. The results of the work - the reasons for borrowing English-language terms are revealed and their semantic change in the Russian language is analyzed. Examples of the most common borrowings, their adaptation to the Russian language system and educational context are shown. The scope of the results - these results can be used to analyze linguistic changes in the educational field and in the study of lexical borrowings in the Russian language. Scientific novelty - the work contributes to the study of the semantic adaptation of English borrowings, revealing the mechanisms of their integration into the Russian language and their importance for the development of terminology in education. Conclusions: borrowings play an important role in expanding the lexical stock of the Russian language, however, a careful approach to their use is necessary in order to minimize semantic uncertainty and maintain linguistic integrity.
