The development of the education of military personnel in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation takes place in the context of their restoration of the functions of a social institute, among others, which solves the task of forming citizenship of young people. The formation of citizenship is a task whose solution must be considered in the context of the entire social life of a serviceman, the coinciding interests of society, the state and the person itself. Civilian education of military personnel is carried out in organic unity with the patriotic and represents one of its directions. Civil-patriotic education is a continuing pedagogical practice that has features for each category of military personnel and at each stage of military service. Training centers for training junior specialists at military universities have functional, subject, organizational, pedagogical and resource characteristics. Their analysis and accounting is an urgent scientific task, the implementation of which is necessary to create a successor system of civil-patriotic education of military personnel. The article gets a description of the peculiarities of civil-patriotic education of military personnel in training centers for training junior specialists, the requirements for its organization are justified. The main functions of civil-patriotic education of military personnel as a pedagogical system have been identified. Modeling of civil-patriotic education as a separate direction of education of military personnel was carried out. The materials can be used both by military teachers investigating the problems of civil-patriotic education of military personnel, and by commanders and educators working in training centers.
