The article presents some techniques and ways of organizing work with online materials in foreign language lessons. The author examines the reasons for the growing popularity of online learning: price and territorial accessibility, saving time, the possibility of a flexible approach to individual needs, the modern image. It is very difficult to imagine the educational process today without information and communication technologies and the Internet. The global network provides a large number of sites that contain various online materials for teaching a foreign language, and databases are constantly being updated. But the effectiveness of their application depends on the forms, methods and techniques of their use chosen by the teacher. Among the positive aspects of the use of information technology in the process of teaching foreign languages, there is a higher level of psychological comfort in the learning process. Online learning opens up new opportunities for students and teachers to implement joint activities in a foreign language. The article discusses different formats of online learning and types of educational technologies for learning a foreign language remotely. Learning a foreign language online requires students to have a high level of self-discipline, self-organization and motivation.
