Modern realities in teaching Russian history require taking into account the changes taking place in the educational sphere caused by the development of technologies, increased availability of information and new requirements for the level of training of graduates. The key task is to adapt traditional teaching methods to modern conditions, ensure that students effectively master historical knowledge and develop a deep understanding of national experience and traditions. Of particular importance are aspects such as media literacy, critical thinking, the use of digital resources and technologies, an interdisciplinary approach and patriotic education. Patriotic education through the study of Russian history contributes to the formation of a full-fledged citizen, ready to support the stability and development of our state, respecting the national traditions and cultural heritage of their ancestors. Modern teaching should include working with various sources of information, teaching the analysis and evaluation of historical data, the use of interactive lesson formats, organizing extracurricular activities and excursions. The teacher's task is to create conditions for students to understand the importance of preserving the historical heritage, strengthening the unity of the multinational Russian people and the readiness to defend the interests of the homeland. Only a comprehensive approach will allow us to prepare a generation that has the knowledge and skills necessary for successful self-realization in modern society.
