This study is devoted to a complete interdisciplinary analysis of the structure, functioning, and translating difficulties of diverse medical and pharmaceutical texts. The paper examines key theoretical approaches to the translation of specialized texts. The study identifies the main genres of medical discourse: scientific articles, clinical recommendations, medical histories, drug instructions, educational materials and advertising texts. It has been established that each genre has specific linguistic and structural features that influence translation strategies. It is revealed that medical texts are characterized by high terminological intensity, standardization and functional diversity. The paper offers practical recommendations for translators, including the need for a deep understanding of the subject area and adaptation to the needs of the audience. The prospects for further research are related to the study of new terminological trends, the impact of digital technologies on translation, and cross-cultural aspects of medical communication.
