The article examines the features of teachers' self-efficacy. Teachers' beliefs about their professional capabilities and their influence are of increasing interest to researchers. Belief in the success of one's own actions and the expectation of positive results from their implementation constitute the essence of self-efficacy. This pilot study examines the level of self-efficacy of college teachers based on diagnostics conducted among 40 teaching staff. Of these, 48.5% have specialized pedagogical education. The study involved 40 teachers, whose ages ranged from 29 to 62 years. To assess the level of self-efficacy, a diagnostic tool was used consisting of two methods: the Self-Efficacy Scale (authors: D. Maddux, M. Scherer) and the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSE) (R. Schwarzer, M. Jerusalem). These methods allow us to identify the level of teachers' confidence in their abilities to perform professional tasks and achieve their goals. The results of the study help to assess the impact of self-efficacy on pedagogical activity and can be useful for developing programs for improving the qualifications of teachers. Data on self-efficacy can become the basis for further research in the field of educational psychology and teaching methods, and also contribute to improving the quality of the educational process. The article emphasizes the importance of studying self-efficacy as a key factor influencing the effectiveness of teachers and the quality of education in general.
