In the Russian language, tactile gestures are widely used in phraseological units, reflecting various aspects of life, relationships, and emotions. The Chinese language is also rich in phraseological units, where tactile gestures play a significant role in conveying figurative meanings. In this study, we examine Chinese and Russian phraseological units containing the tactile gesture imagery of "stroke" as material for exploring the specifics of its metaphorical interpretation in language and culture.
