The article is devoted to the development of a comprehensive model for the analysis of the military pedagogical system of the Russian Empire in the historical and pedagogical aspect. Four key stages of the development of military pedagogy from ancient times to 1917 are highlighted, with special attention to the period of the second half of the 19th - early 20th century. The author offers a five-component research model that includes the socio-political context, levels of military education, the content of the educational process, personnel, and an assessment of the effectiveness of the system.
The study demonstrates that the proposed approach makes it possible not only to systematically assess the evolution of the military pedagogical system in pre-revolutionary Russia, but also to identify relevant parallels with modern problems of military education. The results of the work are important for further comparative studies and can be used in the modernization of modern military training systems.
