Ji Jinxiang   (Postgraduate Belgorod State National Research University, Belgorod, Russia )

The relevance of the study is determined by the growing interest in learning Russian in China and the need to account for cultural differences in the perception of color symbolism. The research problem stems from discrepancies in color associations between Russian and Chinese, which hinder the acquisition of phraseological units and proverbs. The aim of the study is to develop a methodology for teaching color-related vocabulary based on comparative analysis. The hypothesis suggests that integrating color symbolism into teaching will enhance material retention and students' intercultural competence. The results confirmed the impact of cultural differences on the acquisition of color-related vocabulary. Visualization and associative learning methods proved effective. The discussion includes an analysis of error causes and recommendations for overcoming cross-linguistic interference. The study demonstrated the feasibility of incorporating color symbolism into teaching Russian as a foreign language. Future directions include: developing digital teaching materials; expanding research to other language pairs; and creating training programs for instructors.
