CATEGORY OF THE AUTHOR IN A LITERARY WORK

The article examines the category of the author in fiction on the example of the memoirs of Marshal Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov. The analysis focuses on the multifunctional author's participation, the peculiarities of stylistic techniques for the formation of the author's voice and interaction with the reader. The main features of the author's position, combining the role of a historical witness and the creator of a literary text, are highlighted and characterized. The study develops an understanding of the mechanisms of the author's category formation and shows the features of the memoir genre in the context of Russian literature of the XX century.
