CURRENT ASPECTS OF TRAINING SPEECH THERAPY STUDENTS FOR WORK IN THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM

The article is devoted to the analysis of the training of speech therapy students in pedagogical universities for practical work in the healthcare system. It presents the results of a study aimed at identifying current aspects of preparing students of defectology specializing in «speech therapy» for practical work in medical institutions. The article describes various approaches to the concept of professional training of speech therapists, including preparation for work within the healthcare system. Based on the analysis of the study results regarding students' readiness to work in healthcare, the competencies and skills necessary for speech therapists in medical institutions are identified. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the analysis of the professional training system for speech therapy students and their readiness to work in the healthcare system, based on the request of the Yaroslavl Region Ministry of Health, from the perspective of multidimensionality and continuity.
