Evaluation of SLA Service Availability Parameter for Primary Networks

Service Availability (SA) parameter is one of the key parameters of any Service Level Agreements (SLA) that is evaluated by the ITU-T recommendations. In this paper, an approach for evaluation of SA parameter for primary networksof service providers is proposed. This approach considers a network topology, details of network operation and is based on the reliability theory. Test evaluation of the proposed approach shows its sensitivity to presence of back-up links and network topology and duration of a service provided on a primary network.
