The paper presents data on somatic pathology in elderly and senile people living in different climatic and geographical zones of the countryside of the Republic of Dagestan. The high degree of comorbidities in the foothill and, especially, mountain climatic and geographical zones of the rural area testifies to the low availability of preventive and curative medical care for this contingent of the rural population.
