The relationship between the parameters of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism, the duration of the disease, gender characteristics, body mass index, HOMA-IR index and ghrelin concentration in patients with metabolic syndrome (MS) and gastric motility disorders was studied. A significant decrease in the content of ghrelin was found in patients with excessive body mass index, impaired indicators of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. A statistically significant deceleration of the gastric motility in the examined patients with metabolic syndrome was proved.
