INNOVATIVE APPROACHES TO PERSONALIZED BREAST CANCER THERAPY

This article is devoted to the analysis of innovative approaches to personalized breast cancer therapy (BC). The current trends in the molecular genetic diagnosis of breast cancer are considered, which make it possible to identify specific mutations and develop targeted drugs. Special attention is paid to the methods of liquid biopsy, next-generation sequencing (NGS), as well as the use of artificial intelligence for big data analysis. A systematic review of clinical trials of new targeted drugs and immunotherapy over the past 5 years has been conducted. The results of a meta-analysis of the effectiveness of combined breast cancer therapy regimens, including immune checkpoint inhibitors, are presented. It has been shown that the use of a personalized approach based on molecular tumor profiling can increase recurrence-free survival by 18% (HR=0.74, 95% CI 0.61-0.89, p<0.01). Prospects for the introduction of innovative methods of diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer into clinical practice, as well as the need to develop new predictive biomarkers, are discussed. The importance of a multidisciplinary approach and further clinical research to optimize personalized breast cancer therapy is emphasized.
