The associations of polymorphic variants of GSTM1 and GSTT1 genes and their combinations with miscarriage of pregnancy in women of the Shor nationality of the Kemerovo region were studied, and the possible genetic risk was calculated. In expedition conditions 151 women were examined, 64 of them with miscarriage of pregnancy. The polymorphisms of GSTM1 and GSTT1 genes were typed by Real Time PCR method. A positive association between the GSTM1 gene and the risk of pregnancy failure was revealed. It was found that the protective effect is associated with the combination of “functionally active” genotypes GSTM1 + / GSTT1 +.
