METHODS FOR RECOGNIZING ASTROCYTE TIPS IN MICROSCOPIC IMAGES

The article discusses the use of various machine vision methods for finding astrocyte tips in microspike images. The methods based on the convex hull, the method based on the morphological skeleton, and the method based on machine learning (neural networks) are considered. The results of the methods are studied, and conclusions are drawn based on the results of the methods. The results of the neural network turned out to be close to the results of the morphological skeleton method, and a conclusion is made about the prospects for its use on larger data sets.
