Facial arcs play a key role in orthopedic dentistry as they allow for precise fixation and analysis of the jaw relationships, significantly simplifying the process of diagnosis and treatment. Initially developed in the 19th century, facial arcs have undergone substantial improvements and modifications since then; however, many modern dentists still do not utilize this tool in their practice. This may be due to a lack of knowledge about the benefits of facial arcs or a preference for more traditional methods. Education and increased awareness about the advantages of facial arcs could promote their wider adoption.
