One of the most important aspects of wound treatment is the use of wound dressings. These dressings protect the wound from infection and create favorable conditions for healing. Along with traditional gauze dressings, various new materials have emerged due to advancements in our understanding of wound healing and technological development. Based on their structural characteristics, dressings can be divided into several types: film, hydrocolloid, alginate, hydrogel, and collagen. This article examines modern wound dressings for burn wounds, their properties, advantages, disadvantages, and specific features of application. Despite the variety of options and advances in wound coatings, there is no one universal dressing suitable for all stages of wound healing or for burns of varying depths.
