Objective. Based on the analysis of a clinical case, to consider and analyze the methods of diagnosis and treatment of congenital hypertrophic pyloric stenosis.
Materials and methods: To achieve this goal, a systematic search and analysis of domestic and foreign literature was carried out.
Result. Congenital hypertrophic pyloric stenosis (CHP) is the most common cause of intestinal obstruction in children in the first months of life. Among the surgical pathologies of infants, hypertrophic pyloric stenosis occupies one of the leading positions.
Diagnosis of CHP is based on clinical signs and instrumental research data, namely ultrasound and radiography. Treatment of congenital pyloric stenosis consists exclusively of surgical intervention. Conservative treatment is ineffective, since the etiology of the development of this disease is anatomical narrowing of the pyloric canal, due to hypertrophy of the muscular membrane. The main method of surgical treatment is Frede-Weber-Ramstedt pyloromyotomy, which remains the gold standard, ensuring successful recovery and minimizing complications.
Clinical case. This article presents a clinical case of congenital hypertrophic pyloric stenosis, taken from the pediatric surgical department of the State Budgetary Healthcare Institution of the Republic of Crimea "Republican Children's Clinical Hospital", Russia, Crimea, Simferopol, which was especially significant in terms of its diagnostic and therapeutic value.
The conducted analysis of the case history allows us to consider and analyze the tactics of managing patients with congenital pyloric stenosis, diagnostic approaches, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment methods used.
Conclusion. The considered clinical case allows us to study and analyze in detail the methods of diagnosis and treatment of congenital hypertrophic pyloric stenosis.
