the aim of the study was to evaluate the impact of comorbidities on the course of the postoperative period in patients who underwent surgery for colorectal cancer (CRC). The study included 106 patients, in whom the duration of hospitalization, recovery of intestinal motility, severity of the inflammatory response and the presence of comorbid conditions such as arterial hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney disease, chronic heart failure and acute cerebrovascular accident were analyzed. A significant increase in the duration of hospitalization was found in patients with stroke. Patients with metabolic disorders and CKD tended to have a slower recovery and an increased inflammatory response. The data obtained emphasize the need for an individualized approach to postoperative care of patients with CRC, taking into account the degree and nature of comorbidity.
