Political and professional memorable dates in the festive culture of modern China

The purpose of this article is to study the memorable dates, consisting of two parts - historical and professional, which are indispensable in the Chinese people's holiday system. Analyzing the historical reasons, processes of formation and significance of these memorable dates, the author comes to the conclusion that memorable dates represent the youngest holidays in China, and have unique cultural and social functions. They are in line with the social development of the present era and the needs of the Chinese government and people.
