Myth and society in modern conditions

The concept of myths at the present stage of development of society is defined. When considering a myth from the perspective of its connection with society, conscious and unconscious myth-making is highlighted. In addition, a typification and classification of myths in modern society was carried out on a temporary basis, according to the criterion of their influence on society, according to the regimes of government and according to content in society. The positive and negative aspects of the use of myths in society are highlighted. The political myth is defined as the most represented at the present stage of society development.
