THE INFLUENCE OF STUDENTS' VALUE ORIENTATIONS ON THE FORMATION OF ETHNIC STEREOTYPES

The article reveals the main characteristics and functions of ethnic heterostereotypes and autostereotypes, the concept of "communicative tolerance". The results of the survey of 114 respondents are presented. Based on the results obtained, the content of ethnic heterostereotypes relative to the American, Ukrainian, German, Kazakh ethnic groups was determined, as well as the distinctive characteristics of representatives of the Russian ethnic group about their national and ethnic characteristics. The features of the respondents' value orientations with predominant negative characteristics of the ethno-psychological characteristics of representatives of some nationalities are revealed
