Mythological beliefs in every socio-cultural environment are based on real events, but are essentially imaginary. Nevertheless, such fantasy realities capture and absorb people's thoughts for a long time. Fictions from fairy tales, epics, songs and works of other genres quickly lose their originality under the influence of real events and processes. In comparison with them, the belief in the supernaturalness of sociocultural myths is much more stable and durable, despite the transformation and evolution of social processes, the global change in social consciousness, the way of life of society and priorities. In this connection, in our understanding, in debunking the mythological beliefs of society, one should use various mechanisms of influence on human consciousness, which will fully rid it of the illusory perception of reality, and also form a deep understanding of the truth of natural phenomena and the structure of the world. This article discusses the factors interconnected with the indicated aspects, as well as the ways and tools to achieve them.
