The article examines the interpretation of social mobility in modern philosophy of social hierarchy. It is noted that social mobility presupposes both positive and negative assessments of philosophers in terms of its influence on culture and the state, as well as psychological and social impact on the individual. Arguments are given to demonstrate that the positive impact of social mobility is more significant for society, ensuring its cultural, social, political development and psychological comfort of its members. The conclusion is drawn about the importance of a deeper understanding of the problem and the development of a philosophy of social hierarchy for this purpose.
