THE AESTHETIC PARADIGM IN PSYCHOLOGY: THE EXPERIENCE OF FOREIGN RESEARCHERS

The article describes the domestic and foreign experience of using art in the research field of psychology. In Russian psychology, this approach is realized within the context of the aesthetic paradigm, then abroad within the framework of the methodology of «art-based research». The similarities and differences of these directions are described. It is shown that foreign experience is much richer in the field of empirical research. Thus, new research directions based on the use of art for Russian psychology are being outlined.
