The cultural-philosophical approach to language reveals its deep essence as a keeper of collective memory and traditions. Each language forms a special picture of the world, where lexical and grammatical constructions reflect the national mentality and specific perception of reality. Language is a complex socio-cultural system that reflects the uniqueness of the worldview and self-identification of an ethnic group. Interlingual interaction creates a unique space for cultural dialogue, where language acts not only as a tool for transmitting information, but also as a way of representing ethnic identity. Globalization processes complicate, but do not neutralize linguistic identity. Language is a fundamental factor of ethnic identity, which provides not only a communicative, but also an ontological function of self-determination of social groups in a global cultural context.
