The article examines the tasks facing the regions in order to achieve the goals set in the State Program "Development of Physical Culture and Sports". The types of participation in public-private partnership in the field of sports are considered. A generalized classification of the stages of sports life is given. The necessity of a differentiated approach to the types of support at different stages of sports training is determined. The direction of further research to improve support for physical culture and sports at the regional level is justified.
